A JPEG file is an image saved in a compressed graphic format standardized. Its name originates from the Photographic Experts Group. It can support 24-bit resolution color images. It become compressed by lossy compression. Lossy compression greatly reduces the image resolution if it is used to much. lossy compression algorithm destroys some data contained within the original image file. Jpeg was first meant to reduce image files’ size, making them easier to share, while retaining as much of their quality as possible.
A RAW file is the most common file format for uncompressed images captured by digital cameras and Scanners. Raw files are generally large in file size so that it contains minimally processed image data with lossless quality. It can take the direct image without altering it and keeping it as accurate as possible. It can finally store the most detail of the captured images so that they can be edited with whatever the user wants.
